Position: Associate Lecturer

Short biography
Mr. Fenby is a lecturer for Level 6 and 7 units, Facilities Management and Project Management for Service Operations. Specific areas of expertise relevant to the unit:  restaurant/hotel development and associated project management, risk assessment, the relationship between operations and the provision of resources (human and physical). Tourism operations and their impacts on development projects.

About his current research, scholarly or consultancy activities: he made research into sustainable design and facilities design in the hospitality Industry. Past companies involved with: McDonalds, Everards Brewery, Greenhalls and Whitbreads.

He is also design consultant on a range of comercial and residential interior design/building projects. Projects relevant to teaching:  Avenance (Contract Caterers) UK Head Office re-design/refurbishment, Nelson Hinde (Contract Caterers) UK Head Office re-design/refurbishment, concept designs for Orange Tree Restaurants, design for Metro Café, design of leisure facilities Hawthorn Farm Hotel, design of commercial residential home accommodation for disabled adults, designs for listed/historic building conversions.
