DESCRIPTION:  \nTASTE Culinary Business Academy is hosting its second official culinary competition in partnership with ANBCT. The 5 amazing judges will be: \n  \n\nCornelia Ghișoi (Secretary-General\, ANBCT Romania)\nȘtefan Bercea (President\, ANBCT Romania)\nLiviu Preda (Chef\, ANBCT Romania)\nFlorin Popa (winner of Bronze Medal at Gastronomy World Cup – Luxemburg 2022)\nLaurentiu Mata (Director of Communication & Events\, ANBCT Romania)\n\n  \n4 teams of students will compete by creating one apetizer and one dish: \n  \n\nThe main ingredient of the appetizer is ROMANIAN CHEESE. The team has the freedom to choose their own dish and plating. The dish must be an authentic Romanian Traditional Dish.\nThe main ingredient of the main dish is FISH or PORK. The team has the freedom to choose their own dish and plating. This dish must be built from the basics of the modern cuisine (ingredients\, taste\, preparation techniques\, textures\, and plating)\n\n  \nThe dishes that they make will be judged on multiple crieria such as presentation\, composition\, craftsmanship\, etc. We can’t wait to see them put their skills into action! \n  \nThe competition gives students the opportunity to put their culinary skills to the test against their peers\, further their knowledge and identify areas in which they can improve. It’s a chance to get a taste (no pun intended) of what competing is all about\, in a friendly environment.  \n  \nWe are so excited to be able to host this event! See you there! \n \n  \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:American Hotel Academy is hosting an amazing worshop with Mr. Allen Weiss. The theme of the event is “Show me the money – a guide to sales & negotiation skills”. Guests will enjoy a one and a half hours workshop presented by Mr. Allen Weiss that includes a coffe break\, some fun post-event networking and a school tour.\n\n \n\nWho is Mr. Allen Weiss?\n\nAllen has worked for some of the top hotel brands in the world\, including Marriott\, Radisson\, Warwick and Red Lion. He is a graduate of the prestigious Cornell Hotel School and holds a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University. More recently he founded Allen Weiss Consulting which helps small hotel chains & individual owner/operators grow top line sales revenue.\n\n \n\nIn July of 2021 Allen relocated to Brasov Romania to continue his work at American Hotel Academy where he has been a visiting lecturer since 2008. In his current role Allen teaches courses like Business Communications and Hospitality Marketing in addition to working in enrollment\, admission interviews  and assisting with special projects. Allen will be facilitating a Sales Workshop called Show Me the Money where he discusses his sales background\, provides advice to future hoteliers and does a live role interactive role play with the audience\, teaching them to sell something.\n\n \n\nWe are very excited to be able to host this event. As a participant\, you’ll get access to the advice and knowledge of the most successful people in the field\, both national and international.” \n  \nWhen?Dive into the colorful world of the Hospitality Industry between December 17th-19th 2021! \nWhere?On Friday we will be at the Intercontinental Hotel Bucharest and Saturday and Sunday we will be at the Novotel Hotel Bucharest. \n  \n17th of December – “Show me the MONEY!” – Presentation by Allen Weiss \nWho is Allen Weiss? He has been a long standing lecturer at American Hotel Academy\, sharing his experience in finance and in management with students from all years. He graduated from the University of St. Andrews – Master of Science in International Strategies and Economics and was awarded a PhD title in 2011 from ”Transilvania” University of Brașov for the thesis ”Marketing of public institutions”. His main research intrests are Marketing and Decision making based on collective psychology of consumers. \n  \nFor the past 3 years Ovidiu has been coordinating the student teams engaged in the hospitality operations simulator (HOTS) where they develop decision-making and strategic skills and put to practice all the hospitality and business knowledge gained\, generating the best revenue outcomes. \nOvidiu will facilitate the HOTELSim team simulation and guide participants through the operations of a hotel for a year: from setting the price for the rooms\, to hiring staff and bringing in revenue for the hotel owner. \n  \nWhat is HOTELSim? A hotel management simulation where teams operate as members of the hotel’s executive committee with a leading focus on revenue optimization. Hotels compete with each other in real time and within the realistic market dynamics of a competitive set of hotels. The competitive strategies and decisions of each hotel affect their own results and those of competitors. A hotel’s market share\, revenue share\, and financial results depend on the team’s ability to construct\, promote\, and deliver a competitive price/value proposition to the market. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
