    Career Services @ AHA

    Employability | Careers in Hospitality

    Introduction & Philosophy

Career Services represent the practical and strategic component of the AHA academic experience. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic education and the professional world, empowering students with the tools, resources, and connections they need to make a successful transition from campus to career.

All Career Services offerings are fully embedded within AHA’s Work-Based Learning (WBL) framework, ensuring that students not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also apply it in real-world settings. Through placements, live company projects, and industry challenges, students build practical skills, reflect on their learning, and graduate with industry-relevant experience.

The Four Pillars of Career Services

Many students begin their academic journey feeling uncertain about their future, struggling with career confusion, and wishing they had more support and guidance. Career Services were created to turn this uncertainty into clarity and confidence, offering you a step-by-step framework to explore your strengths, develop your skills, and connect with the right opportunities.

Our goal is simple: to ensure that by the time you graduate, you have a clear career direction, a strong professional network, and the confidence to take your next step, whether that’s a placement, a job offer, or further studies.

Career Services are structured around four main pillars, each designed to guide you through a different stage of your professional development:

    Self-Discovery & Career Clarity

Understand who you are and where you want to go. Through vocational profiling, career coaching, and personalized action plans, you’ll uncover your strengths, clarify your career interests, and set meaningful goals that keep you focused throughout your studies.

    Skills Development

Build the practical skills and confidence employers look for. You’ll participate in interactive workshops, personal branding sessions, and professional etiquette training to prepare for interviews, presentations, and your future workplace.

    Industry Exposure

Experience the real professional world while you study. From mandatory and optional placements to field trips, career events, student events & activities and live company projects, you’ll gain valuable insights and connections that turn theory into practice.

    Transition to Employment

Get ready to launch your career with a clear plan and strong support. Career Services provide mentorship, job search guidance, mock interviews, and access to Horizon’s international partner network, ensuring you’re fully prepared to secure graduate roles or further study opportunities.

    Key Programmes & Activities

Our Career Services offer a hands-on, practical journey that combines coaching, workshops, industry exposure, and personalized support – everything you need to build skills, gain confidence, and connect with future employers.
