    Course Details

    Beginning with business fundamentals, the programme progresses to impart the technical competencies needed for a digital marketing career. It emphasizes high-demand industry subjects like social media management, SEO, CX/UX design, content management, digital communications, brand management, and data analytics.

    Authentic Assessments, No Exams

    On the BSc (Hons) Digital Marketing programme you are encouraged to engage with practical assignments that have been designed specifically to apply knowledge and digital skills to ‘real-world’ scenarios. The assessment methods are diverse, innovative, and authentic, developing your subject knowledge and enhancing your employability skills.

     

    Assessment methods range from traditional reports, case studies, projects, and posters, to the more digital skills-based formats including e-posters, creative portfolios, social media strategies, mobile app prototypes, reflective blogs, vodcasts, websites and pitches etc.

    Flexible Learning – How Does It Work?

    Our flexible on-campus study mode gives you the best of both worlds: engaging face-to-face classes with expert tutors combined with independent learning through iLearn, Arden’s online learning platform. Here, you will have all your course materials, plus access to a vast digital library with eBooks, journals, and databases – everything you need is included in your tuition.

     

    You’ll study in 10-week blocks, focusing on two modules simultaneously. Each week includes classroom sessions, independent study, and hands-on projects, allowing you to apply what you learn in real-world scenarios, from industry simulations to career-focused activities.

     

    Beyond learning, you’ll be part of a vibrant student community by collaborating on group projects, connecting with peers, attending events, and building networks that will support your career. Our tutors are there every step of the way, ensuring you feel guided, supported, and ready to succeed.

    Work-Based Learning Integration

    Work-Based Learning (WBL) is a core element of the BSc (Hons) Digital Marketing programme, blending theory with hands-on experience to boost employability. Embedded throughout all three years, WBL includes experiential learning, career development, and structured work placements.

    Embeded Micro-Certifications

    As the programme is designed to equip you with the strategic and practical skills required of modern-day digital marketers, specific modules have embedded micro-certifications from leading industry professional bodies such as the Digital Marketing Institute and the User Experience Design Institute. These micro-certifications allow you to provide additional evidence of your capabilities to prospective employers in areas such as social media management, digital advertising, search engine optimisation, digital strategy, digital analytics and customer experience.

     

    Seven modules contain embedded micro-certifications, and you don’t need to complete any additional examinations to be awarded with these micro-certifications either, you are eligible for them through completing your regular module assessment(s).

    Digital Resource Hub

    In addition to the embedded micro-certifications, you will also have access to The Digital Resource Hub. The Hub provides access to a variety of additional free digital marketing certifications and resources from organisations such as HubSpot, Google, Adobe, or LinkedIn. This ensures that there is no gap in your digital marketing skills.

    Arden Enterprise Incubator

    As an Arden University student, you’ll have access to the Arden Enterprise Incubator (AEI) online platform to support you in the area of entrepreneurship. Whether students are exploring the idea of setting up their own company or need help and guidance launching or growing an existing business, the AEI provides everything students need to kick start their entrepreneurial journey, as well as to support and empower them along the way.

     

    The AEI has a wealth of resources available including monthly master classes, boot camps, podcasts, blogs, external events, and mentorship. Mentors include Arden University lecturers and industry experts, so our students receive the very best support and expertise.

    Digital Internships: Global Experience, Real Impact

    At Level 5 of the programme you will complete a 4-week virtual internship as part of the Digital Internship module. This internship provides you with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills you have been gaining into a live practical work-based scenario.

     

    The internship requires you to work alongside a live client, which could be a global business, startup, government body and/or non-profit organisation. You will focus upon addressing a marketing brief from the organisation with the aim of accomplishing their marketing objectives. Upon completion, you will be awarded an e-certificate and badges showcasing the skills you have acquired during the internship.

    Global Onsite Internships

    Through our network of partners, students in the BSc (Hons) Digital Marketing programme can access guaranteed onsite internships in top global cities such as London, Barcelona, Tokyo, Shanghai or Singapore. Internships span 4, 8, or 12 weeks and include:
