    Recognition of Prior Achievements

    Have you already completed courses at a university or have work experience in tourism & hospitality or business?
    Perfect! You then have the opportunity to get your previous achievements recognized and complete your studies at AHA sooner.
    RPA is the process through which AHA can potentially use a student/candidate’s evidence of earlier learning and achievement and, if evidence allows, formally recognize previously assessed and certificated learning as a contribution towards part of an academic program. You can skip whole semesters!

    Even before you apply for a study programme, we can check if we can take your previous achievements into account, free of charge. Contact our Admissions Team and let them know of your intention. Based on the programme you wish to enroll in, they will send over the required documentation for submission. At this point simple copies of your certificates and official documents will be enough.
    We will let you know of a provisional answer and proceed with the admission process if the answer is to your satisfaction.
    Once the AHA offer letter is issued, you can submit your official application for RPA with the Registrar’s Office. Only documents in English or officially translated to English will be accepted.
    You will also have to make a payment for RPA if necessary.
    You will receive the result of your recognition request. You will NOT be registered on the programme until your recognition process has been completed. Hence, make sure you apply at least 4 weeks before the programme is set to start.
    We will forward the result of the recognition to the Registrar’s office so that your recognized achievements are recorded. However, this will only happen after your official enrollment.
