    Study Modes

    At American Hotel Academy we adapt to your lifestyle, not the other way around. So we are not only going to not get in your way, but we are going to adapt and support your every step. Because we are firmly convinced of this, we offer you three different forms of study: You can either study in a particularly flexible 100% online format, in a hybrid learning lounge format with a strong practical onsite focus or have your own individual on campus experience. Each of these formats adapts to your life and career aspirations so that you can both learn and live life!

    ON CAMPUS format

    We recognize that each stage of your professional growth (from student to young professional) comes with different needs and dreams. For you, we offer the On Campus format – two years of exciting onsite student life followed by one year of online studies, once you enter the employment market. We offer:

    • A mix of digital self-study and on-campus learning (3-4 consecutive days per week) in Brasov.
    • Highly experienced professionals and academics facilitating your learning through interactive seminars.
    • Meet your fellow students in small learning groups and have a direct exchange with your lecturer.
    • Constant support in creating your career path and finding the best opportunities for you.

    ONLINE format

    American Hotel Academy provides 100% flexibility, with students deciding when and where they study from.

    • Course materials are provided through digital learning platforms, in a pre-set study sequence.
    • Includes live teaching sessions.
    • Exams are carried out from the comfort of your room.
    • Guest speakers and networking events are organized periodically online to get the most up to date information on industry trends and innovations.
    • Continuous support and guidance from the program staff.
    • We guide you in building or developing your career through career counselling 1 on 1 sessions, professional branding and career profiling, hands on workshops.
    • You become part of the #ahafamily, a fun, inclusive community of likeminded people.

    LEARNING LOUNGE option

    Personalized onsite learning support
    Studying is not just about gaining theoretical knowledge, it’s also about sharing, discussing and applying that knowledge with like-minded people. While these interactions are feasible online, the joy of learning intensifies when shared in person.
    The Learning Lounge format entails:

    • Onsite dedicated co-learning spaces to study, concentrate and take your exams.
    • Onsite interactive forums or round tables with industry professionals, covering current industry issues.
    • Develop new skills through hands on intensive workshops / bootcamps.
    • Fieldtrips.
    • We bring the employers to you through our onsite recruitment fairs.

    When you join any of our programmes, you’ll receive a personalized email address to use professionally throughout your studies. Plus, you’ll gain access to a suite of Microsoft tools including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. These resources are designed to enhance your learning experience and streamline your assessments.

    Your Digital Learning Hub

    ClassterTM is a School, Learning, and Student Information Management System, a comprehensive and centralized hub designed to enhance the educational experience for students. Classter goes beyond the conventional boundaries of education management by providing a one-stop solution where students can effortlessly access course materials, take their exams, view their academic and events schedule, and find all relevant documents and applications.

    This platform is designed for seamless navigation, ensuring that students have everything they need at their fingertips. Beyond student convenience, Classter efficiently manages student records, attendance, and grades fostering a smoother learning journey for our students.

    Virtual Simulations & Hands-On Learning

    We teach using case studies and virtual simulations from Harvard Business Publishing Education or other partners, such as HOTS (Hotel Management Simulation) from Russell Partnership, a program that places participants into the simulated position of managing a service industry business in a virtual environment that mimics the real world.

    Lecture Recording

    All live online lectures we host on Teams for our online programmes are recorded and available for you to access anytime during your studies. This means you can review important lectures, catch up on missed sessions, and study at your own pace, providing flexibility and convenience to accommodate your schedule.

    Your Online Assessments

    American Hotel Academy has transitioned all written exams online, providing our students with greater flexibility and convenience in their academic journey. Whether you’re joining us in the classroom or participating remotely, you’ll have the opportunity to take your exams online. Additionally, to streamline the submission process, all assignments are now submitted through the user-friendly ClassterTM platform.

    This integration ensures a seamless experience for both students and faculty, allowing for efficient grading and feedback. Embracing technology enables us to offer flexibility while maintaining the integrity of our academic standards.
