    Hospitality Management – Express

Study | Hospitality Management - Express

    Study Mode

    On Campus

    Start Date

    September 2024

    Duration

    Four Years

    Overview

Express is our integrated master’s degree: a four-year programme which combines undergraduate and postgraduate study into a single course. Instead of studying for two separate degrees, you’ll study a single, longer programme, which begins at undergraduate level, and ends with the more advanced degree being awarded: a master’s instead of a bachelor’s degree.

If you plan to build an advanced career in hospitality management, and your focus is on applied knowledge and professional training rather than academic research, then this programme is the right choice for you.

    Benefits & Limitations

(compared to the conventional Bachelor plus Master route)

    Appeals to many employers.

    6-8 months shorter.

    Tuition is significantly lower.

You write only one dissertation (in your fourth year) instead of two.

It’s possible to switch to the bachelor’s degree if the longer course is too hard.

The fourth year is spent among friends and familiar staff.

You’ll benefit from studying within an extended degree programme, designed to offer exactly the skills and competencies you need. You’ll be able to gradually develop these in a logical way and may find the transition from undergraduate study to postgraduate study relatively smooth.
Integrated masters appeal to employers as they deliver graduates who are qualified at a postgraduate level and already possess relevant work experience.
If students are unable for any reason to complete the full master’s degree, then the intermediary qualifications can be used for immediate employment and studies can be resumed at any time in the future.

You’ll need to make an early commitment to your subject and profession*.

Not recommended if you want to go on to study for a PhD**.

*This degree requires a long-term commitment and doesn’t offer much flexibility within the programme as you are signed up for the long haul. If you exit early, you will receive the appropriate professional qualifications but not a bachelor’s degree. Hence, if you’re not sure that you want to pursue a specific career, you may be better off considering separate bachelor’s and master’s degrees instead.

**Best ask the faculty about this before committing. A conventional undergraduate and postgraduate route may be better preparation for PhD study than an integrated master’s. If you think you may want to study for a PhD after your master’s, make sure you’ll have that option.

    Who is the programme for?

This programme is designed for students with very specific career aims and it requires them to know what those aims are very early on in their higher education journey.

    Recent High-School Graduates

The main audience for this programme: being at the beginning of their professional journey, this route is the ideal pathway through which students can gradually gain work experience and managerial skills for their future career in the global economy.

Another target audience consists of industry professionals, who have career growth aspirations but lack the management knowledge and skills and the appropriate degree they need to fill managerial positions. For them, Advanced Standing Entry is possible should they provide records of previous related studies and / or work experience.

    Fees, Funding and Earnings

Education is valuable, and value can’t come without a cost. But this doesn’t mean it should not be accessible. Our approach is: we can’t waive the cost, but we can find meaningful employment for you, so you won’t just cover tuition, but also gain income.

To achieve this, we alternate study and work periods, we choose hybrid higher education models and we work with just the right university partners and host companies. This way, by the end of the study programme you will have gained a good education, a degree from a British or European University, plenty of work experience and money in your bank account.

    dedication

If you're passionate, you can make it happen!

No matter how much money you have or don’t have, you can afford our study programme - if you’re willing to work your way through!

It doesn’t include subsidized tuition and gratuities on public services but instead it focuses on creating earnings that would cover the cost of tuition and turn profit for each student. It also makes our students financially independent at a young age and gives them the chance to rely on themselves, to be high achievers in life and to become the next strong pillars of our economy and society.

We drive a high-value model, which is opposite to the low-cost model usually followed by traditional public higher education institutions. It has been designed so quality international higher education would be accessible to a variety of students coming from different social environments.

Students taking placements provided by AHA should be able to at least cover their tuition expenses by the end of Internship 3.
